Elections can sow the seeds of good governance when adequately managed. Most times, elections trigger widespread political violence because they can exacerbate tensions within fragile, conflict-prone, or oppressive societies. The people who trigger this violence are the youths. Its time for the youths in Nigeria to wake up to the reality that the government officials wouldn't send their kids to fight for them. its time for youths to know that if they die in election violence, the government wouldn't remember them. Youths SAY NO TO ELECTION VIOLENCE. On 23rd of July 2019, President Mohammadu Buhari stated, "I want to warn anybody who thinks he has enough influence in his locality to lead a body of thugs to snatch ballot boxes or disturb the voting system, he will do it at the expense of his own life.” This should serve as a warning to all youths.
